Prepare for wild deflections, rockets, insane rebounds, and plenty of times when you lose victory in the blink of an eye. It's messy, unpredictable, and that's exactly what makes every round so entertaining.
Most racing platformers let you run from one side of the level to the other. Getaway Shootout takes a completely different approach. Your character moves only by jumping left or right, so every leap matters. At first the controls feel awkward in the funniest possible way, but before long you'll be bouncing across gaps, squeezing through obstacles, and discovering faster routes without thinking twice.
The stages are full of surprises. Some have moving platforms, others throw dangerous hazards right in your path. One mistake and you lose the lead, but a crafty shortcut or well-timed jump puts you back in the lead. The game is never the same, even if you play a hundred matches.
The races become even more chaotic with weapons. As you traverse the map, you'll find items that are very powerful and can turn the tide of a match. Some other player gets blasted off-screen just before you, allowing you to reach the escape point first.
